\nMy family had the pleasure of reviewing Forbrain \u2013 Sound For Life Ltd<\/a> and we received their bone conduction headset<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My first thought when Forbrain was offered to the Crew members to review was it would be perfect for\u00a0my sweet girl Peanut and helping her speech.\u00a0 She does have some\u00a0difficulty with speech and exhibits signs of\u00a0auditory process\u00a0likely as a result of being born prematurely.<\/p>\n

Forbrain is designed to help with attention, concentration, speech,\u00a0and memory.\u00a0 You speak into the microphone and\u00a0the\u00a0different frequencies are\u00a0filtered before you hear it delivered\u00a0through your bones.\u00a0 Yes, your bones!\u00a0 The sound is delivered through your bones and the bone conduction.\u00a0\u00a0I recommend\u00a0checking out their site which is packed full\u00a0with tons of information including information about auditory processing<\/a>, Forbrain’s auditory technology<\/a>, and completed scientific studies and\u00a0studies that are still in progress<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Forbrain is for ages 5 to adult.\u00a0 Young children until teenagers should use it for 15 minutes daily and for teenagers and above 20 minutes daily.\u00a0 You can wear it longer than the suggested times but not to use it longer than 2 hours a day.\u00a0 Then the headset should be worn 5 days a week for at least 6 weeks.\u00a0 Forbrain can be used alone, with parents, or with a professional such as therapist, teacher or coach.<\/p>\n

When the package arrived the headset\u00a0came in a very sturdy zippered case.\u00a0 Inside the case, the headset is well protected by\u00a0a foam insert.\u00a0 The headset is wireless and has a\u00a0high quality adjustable\u00a0microphone.\u00a0 There\u00a0is also\u00a0a USB cable to plug into your computer for charging.\u00a0\u00a0A user manual, a quick start guide, and additional microphone covers\u00a0are also included.<\/p>\n

The first thing that you need to do when you receive the Forbrain is to charge it.\u00a0 After the battery is fully charged you will get over 6 hours of use before you need to charge it again!\u00a0 The Forbrain headset is not worn like a regular set of headphones.\u00a0 It hooks over your ears, wraps around the back of your head and the bone conduction transducers rest\u00a0in front of your ears.\u00a0 The headset is\u00a0universal and will fit both\u00a0small children and adults.\u00a0 There are no specific set of written\u00a0exercises that come with Forbrain but\u00a0is designed to be used based on the needs of the individual students.\u00a0 You can use it while talking, reading, or doing other activities.<\/p>\n

Forbrain works!\u00a0 I was very impressed\u00a0and I saw results quickly.\u00a0 Peanut wore the headset during various times of our days.\u00a0 Sometimes it was when we were working on school work and other times it was worn while she was playing with her siblings in the house.\u00a0 She wore it for at least 15 minutes every time and sometimes\u00a0a bit longer.\u00a0 Where I saw the results were during the other times of the day when she did\u00a0not wear the headset.\u00a0\u00a0Peanut was remembering to speak louder and more clearly without having to be reminded, like she did prior to using Forbrain.\u00a0 In the pictures above Peanut is using Forbrain during Spanish.\u00a0\u00a0Our Spanish curriculum is\u00a0an interactive video based program and the children repeat various words and sentences\u00a0throughout every Spanish lesson.<\/p>\n

Sweet Pea wore it while singing and also while watching her Spanish lessons.\u00a0 In the pictures above she is using it while we\u00a0are watching our Spanish\u00a0curriculum.\u00a0 She liked that she could hear her own voice.\u00a0 Lil’ Bit\u00a0 while not using Forbrain during the review enjoyed trying it and she smiled saying that she likes, “hearing\u00a0my voice loud”.\u00a0\u00a0I also tried it and found the headset to be very comfortable to wear.<\/p>\n
