If you like Michaels like I do, they have their $2 Clearance Grab Bags out right now!! \u00a0I am not sure if it is a company wide thing or something that is up to individual stores but my store has them in a bin up by the door.<\/p>\n

I cannot remember buying one of the grab bags\u00a0before.\u00a0 I came across YouTube videos\u00a0about them when searching one time for scrapbook related items and they peaked my interest.\u00a0 Michael’s will\u00a0put clearance items in a bag (or sometimes even in a box) of random items.\u00a0 You buy a bag\/box for $2 + tax!\u00a0\u00a0In the videos that I have seen (Google Michaels $2 grab bag hauls)\u00a0people scored great things for a fraction of the cost.\u00a0 The grab bags only come out a few times a year from what I have been able to tell.<\/p>\n

I was visiting a store in the area a couple of weeks ago and asked\u00a0the cashier if they\u00a0did the $2\u00a0grab bags.\u00a0 She said they do and when I asked her if she knew when they would be doing the next one.\u00a0 She had to ask another employee\u00a0and after she did\u00a0she shared with me to check back around the 5th.\u00a0 I inquired a couple days later at\u00a0the store by my house\u00a0and the employee there wouldn’t tell me one way or the other.\u00a0 I have been visiting my local store the past few days and today they had a bin full of $2 grab bags!!<\/p>\n

The employee there tonight mentioned that people were opening up and\u00a0digging through the bags to see what was in them.\u00a0 She summed it up by it defeats the purpose of the grab bags.\u00a0\u00a0 Since people tore open bags, there were some loose items so it was hard to tell which bags they were associated with.\u00a0 It made moving bags around a little tough.<\/p>\n

Right on top of the\u00a0pile was a bag with three 12×12 post bound scrapbooks.\u00a0 They went right into my cart.\u00a0 I believe they are $14.99 each.\u00a0 I didn’t go\u00a0back and check the price because $2 is worth it for three albums.<\/p>\n

Underneath was a bag that\u00a0was completely torn open that had\u00a0scrapbook paper!!\u00a0 $28.42 worth of Bazzill 8.5 x 11 cardstock.\u00a0 This is good, quality,\u00a0scrapbook cardstock!\u00a0 Some of the edges were bent\u00a0but I didn’t mind.\u00a0\u00a0I use the 8.5 x 11 for mounting photos and different size\u00a0journaling blocks.\u00a0 Sweet Pea also asked if she could use it.<\/p>\n

$19.99 worth of Recollections Hand Made Scrapbook Paper.\u00a0 It was all the same pattern.<\/p>\n

Also with the paper was one $3 reusable cosmetic bag.\u00a0 Sweet Pea asked if she could have the bag.<\/p>\n

For a total of $4 plus tax, I received two bags of items\u00a0worth just under $100!\u00a0\u00a0 Well worth it in my book!<\/p>\n

Like I mentioned above some of the items were loose in the bin.\u00a0 A lot of them were spring stuff (there was a huge spring wreath).\u00a0 It looked like there were some mugs, graduation items, storage boxes, and flowers in some of the other\u00a0$2 grab bags.\u00a0 I asked the cashier how long they would have the grab bags.\u00a0 She said until they ran out and confirmed that they would be adding new bags daily.\u00a0 It looks like I will be making at least a couple more trips in the next few days\u00a0to get more bags.<\/p>\n
