My family and I had the pleasure of reviewing Can Do Cubes<\/a> by jollyliteracy.com<\/a>.\u00a0 Earlier in the week we also had the pleasure of reviewing their phonics and grammar programs called Jolly Phonics<\/a> and Jolly Grammar<\/a>.\u00a0 You can find the review here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the package from jollyliteracy.com<\/span><\/u> (just2ducks\u00a0 LLC<\/a>)\u00a0\u00a0we received the Can Do Cubes, Teacher’s Guide and Template Book on CD, ‘Teaching, learning and ‘sounding out’ with Debbie Hepplewhite on DVD, Debbie Hepplewhite’s simple and complex alphabetic codes overview chart, At-a-glance Word Charts, and two spiral books by Debbie Hepplewhite.<\/p>\n

\"Jolly<\/a><\/p>\n

The Can Do Cubes are wood blocks that have different letter sounds on every side of the block.\u00a0 Can Do Cubes can be used with Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar, used as a\u00a0supplement\u00a0with any reading or spelling curriculum, or be used on their own.\u00a0 They can be used in a home, school, or therapy setting.\u00a0 Peanut and I used them when\u00a0doing lessons from\u00a0Jolly Phonics Student Book 1.\u00a0 We practiced the letter sounds and worked on blending using the cubes.\u00a0 The picture below is Peanut\u00a0using the cubes when working\u00a0on blending the sounds of s, i, and t together to form the word sit.<\/p>\n

In the box that everything comes in the cubes are stored on two trays (Stage One and Stage Two).\u00a0 They are organized by sounds that you are working on.\u00a0 If the blocks get mixed up you can quickly return them to the correct tray in the box.\u00a0 It is a bit snug when everything is in the box however if you store the DVD, CD, and other extras outside of the box, it is a perfect size for the two trays of Can Do Cubes.<\/p>\n

The Teacher’s Guide along with the student pages are available on CD.\u00a0\u00a0There are four workbooks with teacher information as well as student pages.\u00a0\u00a0I love being able to print off pages, especially student pages, as I need them.\u00a0\u00a0If you are like me and like having print copies of teacher’s manuals\/guides \u00a0it is easy enough to print and bind the guide.<\/p>\n

‘Teaching, learning and ‘sounding out’ with Debbie Hepplewhite on DVD has six videos as well as extras available on the disc.<\/p>\n
