\nEver since I was a young child I have enjoyed reading books.\u00a0\u00a0I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to review The Pray-ers \/ Book 1 Troubles<\/b><\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0Mark S. Mirza<\/b> and\u00a0published by CTM Publishing Atlanta.\u00a0<\/b> I received a paperback copy of the book.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a> <\/p>\n

The Pray-ers \/ Book 1 Troubles<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is a Christian Historical Fiction book that focuses\u00a0on the importance\u00a0of prayer.\u00a0\u00a0 The Pray-ers\u00a0takes place\u00a0in three different eras, First Century, Nineteenth Century, and Current Era and is told through the view of people, angels, and demons.\u00a0 Every era has one main hero, Thales (First Century), Alexander Rich (19th Century), and Dr. Dale Riley (Current Era).\u00a0 Their unwavering faith was shown throughout the entire\u00a0book no matter the circumstance they\u00a0came across as a believer they always turned to prayer.\u00a0\u00a0Even though they\u00a0are fictional characters,\u00a0there is a lot to learn from them in The Pray-ers \/ Book 1 Troubles about prayer.<\/p>\n

I loved the book!!\u00a0 I could relate to each one of the heroes.\u00a0 While their circumstances may have been different to mine\u00a0their prayers are still\u00a0very applicable.\u00a0 It\u00a0gave\u00a0me a\u00a0lot to pray about!\u00a0 Something that stuck out with me was the way Epaphras (Thales’s uncle and mentor)\u00a0loved to pray. Epaphras would\u00a0 go to the Lord without his prayer list and he would then, with the Holy Sprit guiding,\u00a0use Bible passages to weave into the situations that he desired to lift up.<\/p>\n

I found some situations\/topics in the\u00a0The Pray-ers \/ Book 1 Troubles to be more appropriate for older and mature readers.\u00a0\u00a0While I would not allow my children to read the book right now (They are 8 & under.) I\u00a0see no reason to not allow\u00a0the kids to read the book when they are older.<\/p>\n

There are Bible verses throughout the book as well in the footnotes to\u00a0allow the reader to dive deeper into scripture, which is something I plan on doing as there wasn’t enough time allotted to be able to do so during the review period.\u00a0 There is also a connection between\u00a0a couple of the characters living in different eras but you will have to read the book yourself to find the connection yourself because I don’t want to spoil it!<\/p>\n

At the end of The Pray-ers \/ Book 1 Troubles\u00a0there is mention of a second book being released soon about Spiritual Warfare.\u00a0 I look forward to its release!<\/p>\n
