from DOS based computers to being able to find\u00a0just about anything by a simple search of the internet.\u00a0 I\u00a0grew up seeing this transition.\u00a0 My\u00a0dad&#8217;s hobbies were and still are computers.\u00a0 We have had\u00a0a computer\u00a0in our house since I was little.\u00a0\u00a0I knew how to type the word &#8216;run&#8217;\u00a0to run my DOS based games years before I could write the word on paper.\u00a0 Back when I\u00a0was young,\u00a0my parents didn&#8217;t have to worry about what I\u00a0could see on the screen or what I could possibly download.\u00a0 <a class=\"bbc_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accountable2you.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Accountable2You<\/a>\u00a0is an accountability software to help keep everyone accountable when they are using the computer and their mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/schoolhousereviewcrew.com\/across-all-your-devices-accountable2you\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i1202.photobucket.com\/albums\/bb374\/TOSCrew2011\/2016%20TOS%20Crew\/10%20-%20October\/31%20-%20Accountable2You\/Accountable2You%20Accountablility%20Accross%20ALL%20your%20Devices_zpsljifhbub.jpg\" alt=\"Accountability across all your devices {Accountable2You}\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAccountable2You\u00a0began as a small accountability program that owner and co-founder Ben Lawrence wrote for himself and his wife.\u00a0 Following the Lord&#8217;s lead he &amp; his wife\u00a0opened up Accountable2You to the public in 2006.\u00a0 There are\u00a0four plans\u00a0available: Individual Plan, Family Plan, Churches &amp; Groups Plan, as well as a\u00a0Small Business Plan.\u00a0 My family received a 12 month subscription to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountable2you.com\/pricing#personal\" target=\"_blank\">Family Plan<\/a> to review.<\/p>\n<p>Features of the Family Plan include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"pricing-features-featured\">Monitoring up\u00a0to 20 Devices<\/li>\n<li class=\"pricing-features-featured\">Unlimited Accountability Partners<\/li>\n<li class=\"pricing-features-featured\">Create Child User Accounts<\/li>\n<li class=\"pricing-features-featured\">Set Time Limit Alerts Per Account<\/li>\n<li>Real time reporting<\/li>\n<li>Accountability partners per device<\/li>\n<li>Daily or Weekly email reports<\/li>\n<li>Hourly Alert reports<\/li>\n<li>Instant Text Alerts<\/li>\n<li>Manage Objectionable word list<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/schoolhousereviewcrew.com\/across-all-your-devices-accountable2you\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/i1202.photobucket.com\/albums\/bb374\/TOSCrew2011\/2016%20TOS%20Crew\/10%20-%20October\/31%20-%20Accountable2You\/Accountable2You%20Time%20Limit_zpsaspdecue.jpg\" alt=\"Accountability across all your devices {Accountable2You}\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThrough the Accountable2You software you can monitor up to 20 devices across various platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The available platforms are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows<\/li>\n<li>Mac<\/li>\n<li>Android<\/li>\n<li>iPhone\/iPad\/iPod<\/li>\n<li>Chrome<\/li>\n<li>Linux<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We installed Accountable2You on 2 computers with Windows\u00a0and 1 iPhone.\u00a0 The installation on the Windows computers\u00a0and the iPhone went effortlessly.\u00a0 The instructions were step by step for both platforms and each\u00a0included\u00a0pictures with the instructions.<\/p>\n<p>With the iPhone, Accountable2You works a little differently.\u00a0 Instead of monitoring activity on everything, it is a browser and replaces using Safari (which you can disable access to)\u00a0or another web browser and monitors only the internet\u00a0activity.\u00a0 One thing I noticed was that the default setting for &#8216;On launch&#8217; is &#8216;Continue where I left off&#8217;.\u00a0 I received a pop up that I could not get rid.\u00a0 I tried closing the app and restarting the phone but upon opening the app I was brought back to the same pop-up.\u00a0 The only way I could get rid of it was by uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.<\/p>\n<p>Uninstallation is simple and the program uninstalls itself easy from both the iPhone and the one computer I tested it from.\u00a0 However, there is no password to protect it from being uninstalled by someone trying to avoid the accountability or being accidentally uninstalled.\u00a0 As an accountability partner I received\u00a0an email stating the program &amp; app were uninstalled on the respective platforms.\u00a0 I would like an option to receive a real time\u00a0text as well.\u00a0 Upon uninstalling the program you lose all data that has been stored for that device.\u00a0 I wish there was a way to be able to keep the data, especially in the case of needing to uninstall and re-installing as mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2020\" src=\"https:\/\/lifeofahomeschoolmomma.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/a2y1.jpg?w=640\" alt=\"a2y1\" width=\"640\" height=\"272\" \/><br \/>\nAn accountability partner is an important piece of Accountable2You.\u00a0 This partner may be a parent, spouse,\u00a0sibling, trusted friend or family, and even an adult child.\u00a0 The person(s) who have been selected to be an accountability partner will receive an email from Accountable2You notifying them that they have been selected as an accountability partner for which device and how often to be expecting the reports.\u00a0 They will receive a link where they can view the records anytime as well as an option to unsubscribe to the email notifications.\u00a0 They will receive real time reporting with emails and\/or instant text alerts when an objectionable word, non objectionable word, or a time limit alert have been triggered.\u00a0\u00a0Hourly reports are sent as well as a choice to be sent a daily or\u00a0weekly\u00a0email reports as well.\u00a0 Accountability partners can monitor one individual device or multiple devices that have been registered.\u00a0 As well as multiple\u00a0accountability\u00a0partners can be assigned to one device.<\/p>\n<p>Please keep in mind when setting up your alerts is your data and text plans and those of the accountability partner(s).\u00a0 The way Accountable2You is designed, whenever you type or read a objectionable word the accountability partner can receive a text or an email.\u00a0 Emails and texts\u00a0quickly add up!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the Family\u00a0Plan you can also create a child user account.\u00a0 With the separate accounts you can assign a different set of parameters for the alerts such as different time limit alerts, and objectionable &amp; non-objectionable words.<\/p>\n<p>Another feature of the Family Plan is the ability to set\u00a0time limit alerts per account.\u00a0 When someone is using the device during specific hours the accountability partner will receive an alert.\u00a0 Great for seeing if someone is accessing the internet when they are not supposed to be.<\/p>\n<p>Setting up the objectionable and non-objectionable words were the most time consuming part\u00a0as they have to be individually added per user account.\u00a0 An option to add the words by\u00a0bulk and then be able to select the same words for other user accounts would be a wonderful feature.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that Accountable2You is not.\u00a0 It is not\u00a0a filtering program to restrict\u00a0access to websites.\u00a0 Accountable2You does offer a couple of suggestions should be looking for such a program.<\/p>\n<p>If you are looking from an accountability software this is it!\u00a0 As a mom, I love that it is web based.\u00a0 I can make any changes directly from the Accountable2you account and I don&#8217;t need to be sitting in front of the computer\/device to make the changes.<br \/>\nPlease click the banner below to read more reviews by the
