Why do You stand afar off, O Lord<\/span>?<\/span><\/span>
\nWhy do You hide Yourself<\/i> in times of trouble?<\/span>
\nIn pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted;<\/span>
\nLet them be caught in the plots which they have devised.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

For the wicked boasts of his heart\u2019s desire,<\/span>
\nAnd the greedy man curses and<\/i> spurns the Lord<\/span>.<\/span>
\nThe wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him<\/i>.<\/span>
\nAll his thoughts are, \u201cThere is no God.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His ways prosper at all times;<\/span>
\nYour judgments are on high, out of his sight;<\/span>
\nAs for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.<\/span>
\nHe says to himself, \u201cI will not be moved;<\/span>
\nThroughout all generations I will not be in adversity.\u201d<\/span>
\nHis mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression;<\/span>
\nUnder his tongue is mischief and wickedness.<\/span>
\nHe sits in the lurking places of the villages;<\/span>
\nIn the hiding places he kills the innocent;<\/span>
\nHis eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate.<\/span>
\nHe lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair;<\/span>
\nHe lurks to catch the afflicted;<\/span>
\nHe catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net.<\/span>
\nHe crouches, he bows down,<\/span>
\nAnd the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones.<\/span>
\nHe says to himself, \u201cGod has forgotten;<\/span>
\nHe has hidden His face; He will never see it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Arise, O Lord<\/span>; O God, lift up Your hand.<\/span>
\nDo not forget the afflicted.<\/span>
\nWhy has the wicked spurned God?<\/span>
\nHe has said to himself, \u201cYou will not require it<\/i>.\u201d<\/span>
\nYou have seen it<\/i>, for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand.<\/span>
\nThe unfortunate commits himself<\/i> to You;<\/span>
\nYou have been the helper of the orphan.<\/span>
\nBreak the arm of the wicked and the evildoer,<\/span>
\nSeek out his wickedness until You find none.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Lord<\/span> is King forever and ever;<\/span>
\nNations have perished from His land.<\/span>
\nO Lord<\/span>, You have heard the desire of the humble;<\/span>
\nYou will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear<\/span>
\nTo vindicate the orphan and the oppressed,<\/span>
\nSo that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
