Psalm 17<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hear a just cause, O Lord<\/span>, give heed to my cry;
\nGive ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.<\/span>
\nLet my judgment come forth from Your presence;<\/span>
\nLet Your eyes look with equity.<\/span>
\nYou have tried my heart;<\/span>
\nYou have visited me<\/i> by night;<\/span>
\nYou have tested me and You find nothing;<\/span>
\nI have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.<\/span>
\nAs for the deeds of men, by the word of Your lips<\/span>
\nI have kept from the paths of the violent.<\/span>
\nMy steps have held fast to Your paths.<\/span>
\nMy feet have not slipped.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I have called upon You, for You will answer me, O God;<\/span>
\nIncline Your ear to me, hear my speech.<\/span>
\nWondrously show Your lovingkindness,<\/span>
\nO Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand<\/span>
\nFrom those who rise up against them<\/i>.<\/span>
\nKeep me as the apple of the eye;<\/span>
\nHide me in the shadow of Your wings<\/span>
\nFrom the wicked who despoil me,<\/span>
\nMy deadly enemies who surround me.<\/span>
\nThey have closed their unfeeling heart<\/i>,<\/span>
\nWith their mouth they speak proudly.<\/span>
\nThey have now surrounded us in our steps;<\/span>
\nThey set their eyes to cast us<\/i> down to the ground.<\/span>
\nHe is like a lion that is eager to tear,<\/span>
\nAnd as a young lion lurking in hiding places.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Arise, O Lord<\/span>, confront him, bring him low;<\/span>
\nDeliver my soul from the wicked with Your sword,<\/span>
\nFrom men with Your hand, O Lord<\/span>,<\/span>
\nFrom men of the world, whose portion is in this<\/i> life,<\/span>
\nAnd whose belly You fill with Your treasure;<\/span>
\nThey are satisfied with children,<\/span>
\nAnd leave their abundance to their babes.<\/span>
\nAs for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness;<\/span>
\nI will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
