<\/a><\/center>Multiplication is brought alive with Times Alive<\/b><\/a>\u00a0by Times Tables the Fun Way<\/b><\/a><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0 Sweet Pea and I had the opportunity to review Times Alive’s monthly online subscription.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n In third grade, it was a big deal for us to learn our times tables.\u00a0 Our teacher, Mrs. B., made my class a deal.\u00a0 When we memorized our times tables (0 through\u00a012’s)\u00a0she would allow us to start writing\u00a0in pen during the school day, in all classes except math.\u00a0 Being able to write in\u00a0pen was a big deal to us.\u00a0\u00a0I don’t remember how long it took myself or any of my\u00a0classmates to memorize our times tables but we memorized them the traditional way by\u00a0studying with either a list or flashcards.\u00a0 I wish this fun program was available when we were memorizing our multiplication facts!<\/p>\n Before beginning the\u00a0first\u00a0Times Alive lesson, there is a test to assess the student’s multiplication knowledge.\u00a0 Once that is completed, the student will begin with lesson one and learning the 0 & 1 facts.\u00a0 The following lessons do not go in order (ie: 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s etc.) but starts off with teaching 3×3, followed by 3×4, 2’s, and reviews of 1’s & 2’s and 3×3.\u00a0 There are built in review pages and progress checks throughout the lessons.\u00a0\u00a0You can access any lesson at\u00a0any time.<\/p>\n The interface is very user-friendly!\u00a0 You log into the website with your user name and password then the student logs in with their name.\u00a0 The page automatically opens up to the lesson list for you to choose which lesson to begin with.\u00a0\u00a0 Make sure you write down the student name that you use for each person as the user names do not show up on the screen.\u00a0 If you forget the user name, you will not have access to any of the previous work.\u00a0 You can easily access everything through the buttons on the bottom of the page (Turning sound on\/off, pausing the story, exiting the program, access the help files, going to the Lesson List, repeating a lesson,\u00a0 moving on to the next lesson, and checking the student’s progress report.).<\/p>\n The student progress report is set up similar to the lesson list with the lesson information, except it also shows the scores that were recorded and you have the option of printing the progress report.\u00a0 I recommend printing the progress report throughout usage in case you cannot access the information at a later date.<\/p>\n Sweet Pea said she liked everything about the program, especially their approach to teaching multiplication facts.\u00a0 She liked the stories and songs\u00a0and they are helping her to remember\u00a0the times tables.<\/p>\n I liked that the lessons could be completed in any order and\u00a0that I can start her off\u00a0on a specific lesson if I see that\u00a0she struggled through\u00a0a lesson.\u00a0\u00a0 If you are looking for a fun way to help your child learning their multiplication facts I highly recommend Times Alive<\/b><\/a>\u00a0by Times Tables the Fun Way<\/b><\/a>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Social Media:<\/strong> <\/p>\n Click the banner below to read more Times Alive<\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>reviews from fellow Homeschool Review Crew members.<\/p>\n![\"Times](\"http:\/\/i1202.photobucket.com\/albums\/bb374\/TOSCrew2011\/2017%20Homeschool%20Review%20Crew\/02%20-%20February\/7%20-%20Times%20Tables%20the%20Fun%20Way\/SOTNOW1-2_zps4bcbvwbf.jpg\")
