<\/a><\/center> <\/p>\nHISTORY Through the Ages Project Passport World History Study: Ancient Greece<\/a>\u00a0by Home School in the Woods<\/a>\u00a0is a fun, hands-on unit study\u00a0about\u00a0Ancient Greece.\u00a0 The timing\u00a0is perfect for my family to review\u00a0this study,\u00a0as Ancient Greece is an upcoming topic in our history curriculum!\u00a0 My family received the download version to review.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The suggested grades for HISTORY Through the Ages Project Passport World History Study: Ancient Greece\u00a0is grades\u00a03-8.\u00a0 However, this Project Passport works well with children in grades K-2.\u00a0\u00a0Train Buff, who is 4.5,\u00a0wants ti participate\u00a0right along with his older sisters (who are 8, 7, & 6).<\/p>\n HISTORY Through the Ages Project Passport World History Study: Ancient Greece<\/a>\u00a0is very well organized!\u00a0 I am very thankful for that because there are a lot of files!\u00a0 Everything is\u00a0organized in\u00a0master folders by images, lapbook pieces, MP3s, and PDFs, etc.\u00a0 There is a start here file that is an interactive page that includes\u00a0links to all of the files that you need.<\/p>\n For every stop you will download the Guide Book Text, the Travel Itinerary.\u00a0 Along the left edge of the start page\u00a0there are icons to let you know what kind of project you are working on (newspaper, game, Scrapbook of Sights, etc.).\u00a0 The\u00a0Travel Itinerary includes\u00a0every detail right down to the type paper that is suggested for every project.\u00a0 This is what I used for planning out our days.<\/p>\n Every page has a label and once printed you know where it belongs.\u00a0 The files names match so for example:\u00a0TK-3-1 is the first\u00a0Teacher’s Key for Stop #3.\u00a0 You can find the master copy in the Teacher’s Key folder under TK-3-1.\u00a0 Throughout the unit study, there are also pictures of samples that have been created!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Students will learn about Ancient Greece,\u00a0the\u00a0government, their customs, influence of Greek Poets, their education, and much more.\u00a0\u00a0Reading post cards from famous people, read a Greek newspaper, create a lapbook, keep a timeline,\u00a0and playing games are just some of the fun\u00a0activities that your student will be doing.<\/p>\n The girls learned about Greek Columns and\u00a0added a column to their\u00a0binder.\u00a0 They received a postcard from Cadmus.\u00a0 They added figures to their timeline, including The Olympic Games,\u00a0 Ionian Colonies are Settled, and Syracuse is Founded.\u00a0 They did map work.\u00a0\u00a0Everything is added\u00a0 their Scrapbook of Sights on this particular stop.\u00a0 When we are through with our study of Ancient Greece my children will have a beautiful keepsake to keep for years to come.<\/p>\n My girls really enjoy the Scrapbook of Sights and Lapbook as they are into creating scrapbooks and enjoy anything hands-on.\u00a0 In fact my girls want to complete everything, so we have been going at a slower pace so they can.\u00a0 We are currently on week 5.\u00a0 The beauty of unit studies is that you can adapt them to fit your family.\u00a0 As a mom, I appreciate the organization and ease of navigating the files.\u00a0 It has made planning what we are doing an ease!\u00a0 Everything is broken down into reasonable sized lessons.\u00a0 I also\u00a0thought the post card rack to store the posts cards was cool!<\/p>\n Home School in the Woods offers two ways to purchase HISTORY Through the Ages Project Passport World History Study: Ancient Greece<\/a>.\u00a0 The two options are CD or Download.\u00a0 I find the download version\u00a0works best for my family.\u00a0 With five children, I can make as many copies as my family needs.\u00a0 There is a lot of printing, which I don’t mind as we have a laser printer.\u00a0 However, for some families printing may be an issue.\u00a0 Having the ability\u00a0to purchase everything preprinted would be a wonderful option.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Home School in the Woods currently has four HISTORY Through the Ages Project Passport World History Study studies available.\u00a0 Besides\u00a0Ancient Greece<\/a>, studies are available for\u00a0Ancient Egypt<\/a>,\u00a0The Middle Ages<\/a>, and\u00a0Renaissance & Reformation<\/a>.\u00a0 Home School in \nEvery lesson is called a Stop and there are a total of 25 stops.\u00a0 There is a detailed itinerary for every stop.\u00a0 This includes all of the supplies that you will need to have on hand.\u00a0 Every stop begins with\u00a0reading the guidebook\u00a0followed by\u00a0activities relating to what you are learning.\u00a0 There are a ton of activities to choose from and you don’t have to do every single\u00a0one.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/crayonstokeyboards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_3597-e1487784966610-177x300.jpg\")
