Psalm 22<\/strong><\/h2>\n

My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
\nFar from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.<\/span>
\nO my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer;<\/span>
\nAnd by night, but I have no rest.<\/span>
\nYet You are holy,<\/span>
\nO You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.<\/span>
\nIn You our fathers trusted;<\/span>
\nThey trusted and You delivered them.<\/span>
\nTo You they cried out and were delivered;<\/span>
\nIn You they trusted and were not disappointed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

But I am a worm and not a man,<\/span>
\nA reproach of men and despised by the people.<\/span>
\nAll who see me sneer at me;<\/span>
\nThey separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying<\/i>,<\/span>
\n\u201cCommit yourself<\/i> to the Lord<\/span>; let Him deliver him;<\/span>
\nLet Him rescue him, because He delights in him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb;<\/span>
\nYou made me trust when<\/i> upon my mother\u2019s breasts.<\/span>
\nUpon You I was cast from birth;<\/span>
\nYou have been my God from my mother\u2019s womb.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Be not far from me, for trouble is near;<\/span>
\nFor there is none to help.<\/span>
\nMany bulls have surrounded me;<\/span>
\nStrong bulls<\/i> of Bashan have encircled me.<\/span>
\nThey open wide their mouth at me,<\/span>
\nAs a ravening and a roaring lion.<\/span>
\nI am poured out like water,<\/span>
\nAnd all my bones are out of joint;<\/span>
\nMy heart is like wax;<\/span>
\nIt is melted within me.<\/span>
\nMy strength is dried up like a potsherd,<\/span>
\nAnd my tongue cleaves to my jaws;<\/span>
\nAnd You lay me in the dust of death.<\/span>
\nFor dogs have surrounded me;<\/span>
\nA band of evildoers has encompassed me;<\/span>
\nThey pierced my hands and my feet.<\/span>
\nI can count all my bones.<\/span>
\nThey look, they stare at me;<\/span>
\nThey divide my garments among them,<\/span>
\nAnd for my clothing they cast lots.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But You, O Lord<\/span>, be not far off;<\/span>
\nO You my help, hasten to my assistance.<\/span>
\nDeliver my soul from the sword,<\/span>
\nMy only life<\/i> from the power of the dog.<\/span>
\nSave me from the lion\u2019s mouth;<\/span>
\nFrom the horns of the wild oxen You answer me.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I will tell of Your name to my brethren;<\/span>
\nIn the midst of the assembly I will praise You.<\/span>
\nYou who fear the Lord<\/span>, praise Him;<\/span>
\nAll you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,<\/span>
\nAnd stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.<\/span>
\nFor He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;<\/span>
\nNor has He hidden His face from him;<\/span>
\nBut when he cried to Him for help, He heard.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

From You comes<\/i> my praise in the great assembly;<\/span>
\nI shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.<\/span>
\nThe afflicted will eat and be satisfied;<\/span>
\nThose who seek Him will praise the Lord<\/span>.<\/span>
\nLet your heart live forever!<\/span>
\nAll the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord<\/span>,<\/span>
\nAnd all the families of the nations will worship before You.<\/span>
\nFor the kingdom is the Lord\u2019s<\/span><\/span>
\nAnd He rules over the nations.<\/span>
\nAll the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship,<\/span>
\nAll those who go down to the dust will bow before Him,<\/span>
\nEven he who cannot keep his soul alive.<\/span>
\nPosterity will serve Him;<\/span>
\nIt will be told of the Lord to the coming<\/i> generation.<\/span>
\nThey will come and will declare His righteousness<\/span>
\nTo a people who will be born, that He has performed it<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
