If you have ever been to a homeschool convention then you understand by the second day of the convention you are already on Homeschool Convention Overload!\u00a0 There is a lot to see and a lot of information to process, even for someone like me who has a few homeschooling years under the belt.\u00a0 A lot of excitement as well!<\/p>\n
I wanted to share the greeting that we get as we\u00a0 walk in between the hotel and convention\u00a0center.\u00a0\u00a0There is a welcome sign right as we enter the walkway.\u00a0 Just beyond it there is a set of easels with pictures of all of the\u00a0seniors that will be graduating.<\/p>\n

\nYes!\u00a0 The FPEA offers a graduation ceremony for homeschool families.\u00a0 They make it a weekend for the seniors.\u00a0 They have activities for the graduates on Friday and Saturday morning.\u00a0 Then\u00a0their graduation rehearsal is Saturday afternoon.\u00a0 I am sure there are other things that they do but that is what is listed on the website.<\/p>\n
So on Saturday morning,\u00a0I didn’t make it to the keynote\u00a0address before it began.\u00a0 By the time I got there\u00a0it was standing room only.\u00a0 So,\u00a0I listened to a little bit and then went to wait until the exhibit hall opened.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, I did a little shopping before attending the first workshop of the day.\u00a0 I am sad to say\u00a0it was the ONLY workshop of the day that\u00a0I made it to.\u00a0 It was ‘Science Little Learners Love’ by Cheryl Bastian<\/a>.<\/p>\n We visited her booth later on in the day and Sweet Pea had a lot of fun there,\u00a0including doing the\u00a0‘Planting Station<\/a>‘<\/p>\n I mentioned on Day 1 that I got to meet some people affiliated with the Homeschool Review Crew at the SchoolhouseTeachers.com booth.\u00a0 We took a group picture Saturday.<\/p>\n It is hard to believe the convention is through for the year!\u00a0 If you have any questions about the convention please feel free to ask!<\/p>\n Over the next week or two, I will share the rest of the photos from the weekend as well as some\u00a0of the things that we purchased.<\/p>\n If you missed my other posts about the convention weekend here they are! The next three\u00a0photos are of the exhibit hall.\u00a0 We were about in the middle of the room and the entrance was behind me in these photos.\u00a0 The first picture is to the left of me.\u00a0 The vendors went all the way to the tan wall that you see.\u00a0 The second picture is facing the back of the exhibit hall.\u00a0 They don’t go all the wall to the back hall but just past the furthest polls in the\u00a0picture.\u00a0 I don’t have a picture facing the front of the exhibit hall from where I was standing but picture it just about the same distance as it is looing at the back of the hall.\u00a0 The final photo is to the right of me.\u00a0 Again the vendors going all the way to the tan wall.\u00a0 The\u00a0exhibit hall is huge!<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/crayonstokeyboards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/IMG_5586-e1496557956168-225x300.jpg\")

I decided to call it a day instead of going to the last session.\u00a0 Sweet Pea had been patiently waiting to go swimming and for me to watch her go down the monster slide.\u00a0 I was ready to kick back and relax in the pool.\u00a0 So we went swimming and ate dinner by the pool.<\/p>\n
