Psalm 31<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In You, O Lord<\/span>, I have taken refuge;
\nLet me never be ashamed;<\/span>
\nIn Your righteousness deliver me.<\/span>
\nIncline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly;<\/span>
\nBe to me a rock of strength,<\/span>
\nA stronghold to save me.<\/span>
\nFor You are my rock and my fortress;<\/span>
\nFor Your name\u2019s sake You will lead me and guide me.<\/span>
\nYou will pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,<\/span>
\nFor You are my strength.<\/span>
\nInto Your hand I commit my spirit;<\/span>
\nYou have ransomed me, O Lord<\/span>, God of truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I hate those who regard vain idols,<\/span>
\nBut I trust in the Lord<\/span>.<\/span>
\nI will rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness,<\/span>
\nBecause You have seen my affliction;<\/span>
\nYou have known the troubles of my soul,<\/span>
\nAnd You have not given me over into the hand of the enemy;<\/span>
\nYou have set my feet in a large place.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Be gracious to me, O Lord<\/span>, for I am in distress;<\/span>
\nMy eye is wasted away from grief, my soul and my body also<\/i>.<\/span>
\nFor my life is spent with sorrow<\/span>
\nAnd my years with sighing;<\/span>
\nMy strength has failed because of my iniquity,<\/span>
\nAnd my body has wasted away.<\/span>
\nBecause of all my adversaries, I have become a reproach,<\/span>
\nEspecially to my neighbors,<\/span>
\nAnd an object of dread to my acquaintances;<\/span>
\nThose who see me in the street flee from me.<\/span>
\nI am forgotten as a dead man, out of mind;<\/span>
\nI am like a broken vessel.<\/span>
\nFor I have heard the slander of many,<\/span>
\nTerror is on every side;<\/span>
\nWhile they took counsel together against me,<\/span>
\nThey schemed to take away my life.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord<\/span>,<\/span>
\nI say, \u201cYou are my God.\u201d<\/span>
\nMy times are in Your hand;<\/span>
\nDeliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.<\/span>
\nMake Your face to shine upon Your servant;<\/span>
\nSave me in Your lovingkindness.<\/span>
\nLet me not be put to shame, O Lord<\/span>, for I call upon You;<\/span>
\nLet the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.<\/span>
\nLet the lying lips be mute,<\/span>
\nWhich speak arrogantly against the righteous<\/span>
\nWith pride and contempt.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How great is Your goodness,<\/span>
\nWhich You have stored up for those who fear You,<\/span>
\nWhich You have wrought for those who take refuge in You,<\/span>
\nBefore the sons of men!<\/span>
\nYou hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man;<\/span>
\nYou keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.<\/span>
\nBlessed be the Lord<\/span>,<\/span>
\nFor He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city.<\/span>
\nAs for me, I said in my alarm,<\/span>
\n\u201cI am cut off from before Your eyes\u201d;<\/span>
\nNevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications<\/span>
\nWhen I cried to You.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

O love the Lord<\/span>, all you His godly ones!<\/span>
\nThe Lord<\/span> preserves the faithful<\/span>
\nAnd fully recompenses the proud doer.<\/span>
\nBe strong and let your heart take courage,<\/span>
\nAll you who hope in the Lord<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
