Home School in<\/strong> the Woods<\/strong><\/a> is known for their fun and engaging hands on History products.\u00a0 We were first introduced to their wonderful products last year when we\u00a0used the U.S. Elections Lap-Pak.\u00a0 We have also studied Ancient Greek earlier this year with one of their\u00a0Project Passports\u00a0.\u00a0 We were excited when the opportunity came up to review the <\/span>Timeline<\/strong> Trio<\/strong><\/a>, another hands on product.<\/p>\n

\"HISTORY<\/a><\/center>Included in the Timeline Trio are: a Collection of Figures on CD, “Record of Time” timeline notebook, and a\u00a0Suggested Placement Guide.<\/p>\n

The ‘Record of Time’ timeline notebook is a 12″ x 9″ horizontal binder. Included in the binder is 122 ivory cardstock pages dated from\u00a05000 BC to 2025 AD. The way the pages are designed allow complete customization!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The years are marked in the middle of the page and there are marks signifying the intervals between.\u00a0 The amount of years they cover change throughout history.\u00a0 For instance in the photo above, the lines represent 2 year intervals.\u00a0 Further back in history they represent 10 years and the closer that you get to current time some of the intervals get as short as 6 months.<\/p>\n

The 2 disc CD includes:<\/p>\n

-PDF pages of all the figures in the HISTORY Through the Ages Timeline sets
\n-PDF pages available in both wall and notebooks size
\n-PDF pages of New Bonus Figures
\n-A gallery of more than 1,260 timeline images
\n– 30+ categories set up in a website format for easy browsing<\/p>\n

The Suggested Placement Guide is a 72 page paperback book that aids with the placement of the Timeline Figures.\u00a0 While students are free to design the timeline as they like, the guide is available if needed.<\/p>\n

As seen in the picture above, every page covers two time line pages in the binder. All entries are assigned a letter for easy\u00a0identification on the Suggested Placement Guide.\u00a0 There is an index in the back of the book to quickly find the page.<\/p>\n

Our Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n

For this review, I\u00a0picked up\u00a0two\u00a0additional “Record of Time” timeline notebooks\u00a0at our local homeschool convention\u00a0so\u00a0Sweet Pea, Peanut, and Lil’ Bit could each\u00a0have their own timeline book.\u00a0 The girls have thoroughly enjoyed this project.\u00a0 We decided to leave the figures uncolored but if your student wanted to they can color them!<\/p>\n

As for the figures that we have placed so far in the time line, we selected ones that we are currently learning about in our studies such as presidents, Paul Revere, and Amelia Earhart.<\/p>\n

I love the flexibility of the timeline!\u00a0 The figures can be placed\u00a0in multiple locations and Home School in the Woods leaves it up to the student where it goes.\u00a0 My girls decided they wanted to place the historical figures\u00a0on the year that the people\u00a0were born.\u00a0\u00a0The best thing is that there is no right or wrong way to creating the time line.<\/p>\n
