\"Mapelle<\/a><\/center>Something my family and I enjoy doing is watching movies together.\u00a0 As soon as I watched the trailer for\u00a0Trust Fund<\/a><\/strong> by Mapelle Films<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0I knew that I wanted to see it and and I invited my mom over to watch the film with me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Trust<\/p>\n

<\/center>
\nTrust Fund is a modern day prodigal child story.\u00a0 The movie is about a father and his two girls Audrey and Reese.\u00a0 Audrey is the daughter who follows everything by the book and Reese is the complete opposite of her older sister.\u00a0 She is an aspiring author trying to finish a book, traveling to Italy, and living a life that most people dream of.<\/p>\n

When major changes are made and Reese goes to work at her dad’s office, she\u00a0discovers\u00a0money that was left to her and her sister from their mother (who died).\u00a0 She makes a rash decision to take her share of the money and run back to Italy.\u00a0 While she is back in Italy she discovers things may not be what they appear to be.<\/p>\n

While Reese is back in Italy we also get to see Audrey’s view of the situation and her struggle to understand why their dad\u00a0is making the decisions he’s making.\u00a0 She doesn’t feel that\u00a0it is very fair and\u00a0wants her dad to handle things the way she would handle them.<\/p>\n

Both sisters have lots to learn through this trial!<\/p>\n

If you would like to watch the movie in a small group setting, Mapelle Films has designed a downloadable study guide<\/a> for small groups to dig deeper into the themes of the movie!\u00a0\u00a0The study guide connects the movie with the prodigal child in\u00a0Luke 15:11-32.\u00a0 Then there are discussion questions about the passage, questions about\u00a0events that\u00a0occurred in Trust Fund, as well as questions to get adolescents thinking about\u00a0what is\u00a0going on in their own life.<\/p>\n

My Family’s\u00a0Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n

We thought the acting\u00a0was well done and clean.\u00a0 My daughter Sweet Pea (9) stayed up and watched the movie with my mom, my husband, and I.\u00a0 While the movie is intended for 12+, it is suitable for younger children to watch as well.\u00a0 The movie does\u00a0open up opportunities for parents and other adults to discuss topics\u00a0further in detail\u00a0with\u00a0children and teenagers such as lying, deception, and stealing.\u00a0 Sweet Pea did mention a few times that Reese shouldn’t have done that or that was wrong.<\/p>\n

I recommend Trust Fund to anyone who is looking for a movie to watch.<\/p>\n
