Hi everyone!<\/p>\n

I pray that everyone had a wonderful weekend!\u00a0 We did!\u00a0 My husband had an unexpected day off from work.\u00a0 He gets the occasional bonus days when he finishes up at a job site and there are no other job sites ready.\u00a0 We spent Friday doing errands that we originally had planned for Saturday and hanging around the house.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, we had a wonderful surprise!\u00a0 ‘Lil Bit’s SS (or a secret sister elf)\u00a0made a surprise drop off with some gifts for ‘Lil Bit.\u00a0\u00a0There was a red and\u00a0black checkered basket filled with goodies.\u00a0 There was a very sweet letter from her secret sister,\u00a0a lady bug deck of cards, a bouncy ball with a red octopus that lights up when bounced, a sticker book of dinosaurs that you\u00a0use the stickers to create their faces, a stuffed strawberry, a\u00a0huge box of crayons, and chocolate chip cookies.\u00a0 ‘Lil Bit was thrilled.<\/p>\n

We spent the remainder of Saturday going to a couple of flea markets as a family, going to dinner, and treating the kids to ice cream.\u00a0 Today (Sunday) we went to church and then I ran over to a garage sale in the neighborhood.\u00a0 I found clothes for 50 cents each and they had a small box of K’Nex roller coaster pieces for $2.\u00a0 I mainly wanted it for the\u00a0K’Nex motor that was in the box\u00a0so we could have a spare motor.\u00a0 I also went to Books-A-Million to look for some books.\u00a0\u00a0We are starting a new tradition\u00a0in December.\u00a0 We are going to wrap 24 books, everyday we will\u00a0unwrap a book, and then\u00a0read it as a family.\u00a0 We, surprisingly, do not own many books about Christmas.\u00a0 So I am on the hunt to buy some.\u00a0 Here are four of the books that I bought.<\/p>\n

The First Christmas Night by Keith Christopher
\nThe Legend of the Candy Cane by Lori Walburg
\nA Star So Bright by M. Christina Butler
\nA Child is Born by Marc-Alexander Schulze<\/p>\n

Three of the four were in their bargain bin for $3.97 each before my 20% educator discount.\u00a0 Do check the bargain bin first because a couple of those books were up front for full price!<\/p>\n
