<\/a><\/center>Recently my family and I had the opportunity to review The Ultra Safe Safety Scissors<\/a> <\/strong>and The 3 Step Pencil Grip Training Kit<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0by The Pencil Grip, Inc.<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n {There are affiliate links in this blog post.\u00a0 Thank you for supporting my blog!}<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Ultra Safe Safety Scissors<\/a> <\/strong>are not a regular set of scissors for children learning how to cut with\u00a0scissors.\u00a0\u00a0A plastic safety shield attached to the scissors that helps protect children from most scissor related accidents.\u00a0\u00a0The scissors\u00a0also have a little lever that when engaged will automatically\u00a0open up the scissors back up\u00a0while cutting.\u00a0 This helps teach children\u00a0the motion of cutting with scissors.<\/p>\n While the scissors were for Train Buff (5) and Munchkin (4) to use\u00a0I did have the older girls (9, 8, & 7) try the scissors as well.\u00a0 All five of the kids cut with the scissors and none of them had any trouble cutting with them.\u00a0 I did struggle a little with cutting anything\u00a0other\u00a0than\u00a0straight lines but I was\u00a0using children’s scissors with adult hands.<\/p>\n I highly recommend The Ultra Safe Safety Scissors<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to anyone with young children in the house or to be used at schools and daycares.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The 3 Step Pencil Grip Training Kit<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0includes three Ergonomic Pencil Grips, the\u00a0Crossover Grip, the Pinch Grip, and the Pencil Grip.<\/p>\n Young children just learning how to write\u00a0begin with the Crossover Grip.\u00a0 For training purposes, the Crossover Grip is recommended to be used under adult supervision.\u00a0 The Crossover Grip reinforces proper hand position and keeps little fingers from crossing over while writing.<\/p>\n For transition, the\u00a0Pinch Grip\u00a0is used.\u00a0 The Pinch Grip has a\u00a0smaller wing than the crossover grip providing\u00a0more freedom while holding the pencil or pen.<\/p>\n Once the child has mastered holding a pencil or pen correctly, they will graduate to the Pencil Grip.\u00a0 The Pencil Grip can be used on all writing utensils for comfort and control.<\/p>\n All\u00a0three grips can be used by both left handed and right handed people.\u00a0 There are Ls and Rs on every grip.\u00a0 The L is where\u00a0the left\u00a0thumb is placed\u00a0for lefthanders while the R is where\u00a0right\u00a0thumbs are placed for righthanders.\u00a0\u00a0The index and middle fingers will fall into place on the other two sides.<\/p>\n Since I am ambidextrous, I tried the grips in both the left handed and right handed positions.\u00a0 I found the grips to be very comfortable in both positions.\u00a0 I prefer writing with larger pens and the grips gave me the comfort I get from larger pens while writing with smaller pens.<\/p>\n My older girls\u00a0Sweet Pea (9), Peanut (8), and Lil’ Bit (7) didn’t like writing with the grips.\u00a0\u00a0They\u00a0found\u00a0that all three\u00a0grips made their writing utensils larger than they preferred.\u00a0 Train Buff (5) and Munchkin (4) preferrs writing with the grips and ask for their grips when doing school work.\u00a0 Train Buff is partial to the Pencil Grip\u00a0while Munchkin prefers the Crossover Grip.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Social Media Links for The Pencil Grip, Inc<\/span>.:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Facebook: https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thepencilgrip\/<\/a> <\/p>\n Please click the banner below for additional Homeschool Review Crew Reviews of The Ultra Safe Safety Scissors<\/a> and The 3 Step Pencil Grip Training Kit<\/a>\u00a0by The Pencil Grip, Inc.<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"http:\/\/i1202.photobucket.com\/albums\/bb374\/TOSCrew2011\/2017%20Homeschool%20Review%20Crew\/11%20-%20November\/6%20The%20Pencil\/B00P8X1WLA.PT02_zpsyakdubhp.jpg\")

<\/a><\/center>I really like The Ultra Safe Safety Scissors for younger children!\u00a0\u00a0Everyone knows how hard it can be to cut with dull scissors!\u00a0 With the safety shield on the scissors, young children can cut with sharp scissors!\u00a0 In the picture below, Sweet Pea is showing her siblings how the safety scissors cannot cut their\u00a0fingers.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/crayonstokeyboards.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_9706-e1508376745260-220x300.jpg\")
