My kids love Thin Stix and Kwik Stix by The Pencil Grip, Inc.<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 When the opportunity became available to review the Thin Stix Creativity Pack<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>it was an unanimous yes we are interested!<\/p>\n

\"Thin<\/a><\/center> <\/p>\n

We were first introduced to The Pencil Grip, Inc. last year\u00a0when we reviewed a 12-pack\u00a0package of Classic Kwik Stix<\/a> as a part of the Homeschool Review Crew.\u00a0 My kids fell in love with them!\u00a0 They have since been an art staple in our house!<\/p>\n

The Thin Stix Creativity Pack<\/a>\u00a0includes 24 Thin Stix pens with solid tempera paint in them.\u00a0 The\u00a0pens capped are approximately\u00a0five inches tall and a half inch in diameter.\u00a0 There are 12 classic colors, 6 neon colors, and 6 metalix\u00a0colors included in the creativity pack.<\/p>\n

The best thing is the paint\u00a0dries in\u00a090 seconds!!\u00a0 Thin Stix works great\u00a0on many mediums including poster board, paper, wood, cardboard, and even rocks!<\/p>\n

Thin Stix allows mostly mess free painting a win, win for both parents and kids!\u00a0 I have found myself saying yes more when they ask to paint.\u00a0\u00a0No more worrying about cups of water or paint spilling or rinsing out paintbrushes.\u00a0\u00a0 Clean-up is quick as well.\u00a0Just double check that\u00a0the caps of the pens are securely on, put them away, and a do a quick wipe down of the table, if needed.<\/p>\n

This time we decided to use the Thin Stix a little differently than we have in previous reviews.\u00a0 We\u00a0decided to paint\u00a0rocks!<\/p>\n

Painting rocks and leaving them in various locations in the community has grown over the past year.\u00a0 Friends and family spend time together painting rocks, hiding them, as well\u00a0as finding them.\u00a0 Finding a rock unexpectedly can brighten up a day.\u00a0 Local social media groups have popped up\u00a0for sharing rocks that have been painted, hidden, and found.<\/p>\n

When we were selected to review the Thin Stix Creativity Pack I was looking for something different to do for the review than our usual of drawing pictures.\u00a0 Then I remembered the bag of rocks that I bought from our local home improvement store that were waiting for us to paint them.\u00a0 When I suggested using the Thin Stix paint pens to paint rocks the kids jumped all over the project.<\/p>\n

The kids had fun deciding what to paint on their rocks.\u00a0 They painted rainbows, crosses, people, ladybugs, chocolate chip cookies, polka dots, wrote things such as “Jesus is my Savior”\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The paint dried within 90 seconds just like it does on other mediums.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

When we have\u00a0used the paint pens in the past\u00a0to draw and color pictures it was mess free.\u00a0 However, this time some of the paint did get over my kid’s hands, mostly on\u00a0the youngest two who are five and four.\u00a0 It was from them twisting the paint too high on the sticks as well as handling the rocks before they were dry.\u00a0 However, it is nothing like when we paint with other paints which gets all over the place, including clothes.<\/p>\n

We have enough rocks painted to keep us busy hiding for a while.\u00a0 Even with the large number of rocks that we painted, there is still plenty of\u00a0paint left to paint more rocks!<\/p>\n

If you have never tried Thin Stix (or Kwik Stix) I highly recommend picking up\u00a0the\u00a0Thin Stix Creativity Pack<\/a>\u00a0and giving them a try!\u00a0 You will not be disappointed!\u00a0 They make great presents and stocking stuffers!<\/p>\n
