Does your family love listening to audio books or are interested in beginning an audio theater collection?\u00a0 The audio theater recording of The Dragon and the Raven<\/a> by Heirloom Audio Productions<\/a>\u00a0will be the perfect addition to your library!\u00a0 I had the opportunity to review this wonderful\u00a0audio production courtesy of the Homeschool Review Crew.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

My family is just beginning our audio theater collection and\u00a0The Dragon and the\u00a0Raven is\u00a0a wonderful addition!\u00a0 We received The Dragon and the Raven on CD, an eStudy Guide, The Dragon and the Raven eBook, behind-the-scenes documentary, printable copy of Proverbs 21:31, The Dragon and the Raven Soundtrack MP3, and a printable cast poster.\u00a0 We listened to the Dragon and the Raven while driving around town and then listened to it in entirety when we took a trip!\u00a0 This production is an adaptation of The Dragon and the Raven by G.A. Henty, 2 1\/2 hours in length, on 2 cd’s,\u00a0and is for ages 6 to adult.\u00a0 I thought it was well done, great sound effects,\u00a0and has an awesome soundtrack!<\/p>\n

There are familiar faces in the cast!\u00a0 John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones), Helen George (Call the Midwife), Brian Blessed (Star Wars, Tarzan, King Lear),\u00a0Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who VII, The Hobbit), John Bell (The Hobbit), and Katherine Kellgren (Award-Winning Narrator) lead the very talented cast as they bring the story to life.\u00a0 The\u00a0Danes are invading England and only one courageous man is willing to stand up and fight the Danes.\u00a0 Follow the Dragon and her crew as they learn\u00a0very important lessons during this trying time in their lives.<\/p>\n

The eStudy guide that is included is a\u00a0wonderful addition!\u00a0 If you choose to print the study guide\u00a0I recommend printing the guide\u00a0in color.\u00a0 Originally, I printed the guide\u00a0in black and white and there were\u00a0sections that\u00a0were hard to read due to the background used.\u00a0 Between the cool background and the images used you will be happy that you printed\u00a0the study guide in color.\u00a0 I also chose to bind the study guide with my comb binder.<\/p>\n

With the study guide you\u00a0have many questions at your fingertips between the Listening Well, Thinking Further, and Defining Words\u00a0sections.\u00a0 I was impressed with the\u00a0number of questions.\u00a0 For each set of questions the location on the disc, the track,\u00a0and the time stamp are provided for reference.\u00a0 The questions in Listening Well can be answered in a sentence or two.\u00a0 The questions in Thinking Further the student is expected to explain and defend their answers.\u00a0 In the Defining Words section there are words to be defined.\u00a0 There is also a Bible\u00a0study included in the study guide.\u00a0 The only thing the study guide doesn’t contain are the answers to the questions.<\/p>\n

\nThere are three options to purchase this wonderful audio drama<\/a>.\u00a0 A Family 4 pack $99.97, Single Pack $29.97, and MP3 Download version $19.87.\u00a0 Each option comes with The Dragon and the Raven eStudy guide and additional freebies (varies depending on which option you purchase).<\/p>\n

We enjoyed listening to this audio production and will definitely listen to it again!\u00a0 I look forward to listening to Heirloom Audio Productions other productions already available and anything that they produce in the future!<\/p>\n
