\nFollow twins Mia & Maddie and their younger sister Lulu on many exciting adventures in the Glimmer Girls series by Natalie Grant.\u00a0 I had the pleasure of reviewing the first two books in the series, ‘London Art Chase’ and ‘A Dolphin Wish’.<\/p>\n

In book #1, ‘London Art Chase’, the family and the girl’s nanny, Miss Julia, travel to London.\u00a0 While exploring the city with Miss Julia, Maddie witnesses her favorite painting stolen right before her eyes.\u00a0 They find out that this is not the first time a painting has vanished.\u00a0\u00a0Will the girls be allowed to solve the mystery or will Maddie be disappointed in finding out what happened to the painting?<\/p>\n

In book #2, ‘A Dolphin Wish’, we find the family has just left London and are now in San Diego.\u00a0 After the girl’s\u00a0adventures in London they need to keep everything low key and not cause any trouble.\u00a0 When they visit Captain Swashbucker’s Adventure Park one of the twins overhears employees talking about animals getting loose.\u00a0 They want to solve the question of who is behind this.\u00a0 Will they figure it out before the have to board the plane for their next flight?<\/p>\n

We enjoyed the books!\u00a0 They are both approximately 200 pages long and are geared towards 9-12 year olds but younger children will also enjoy them.\u00a0 The chapters are kept short which is perfect for children new to chapter books or reading a chapter as a family before bedtime.\u00a0 The artwork throughout the book is great!<\/p>\n

The author Natalie Grant says:<\/strong> \u00a0“Glimmer<\/span> Girls<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>is a fiction series that I have created with my daughters. \u00a0The storyline is about three girls<\/span> who go on tour with their singing mom. \u00a0I have no idea where I came up with that plot! \u00a0It\u2019s fun for my little girls<\/span> to help with the content because they actually live that life. \u00a0Glimmer<\/span> is the last name of the family, but it also has a special meaning. \u00a0It is a light that is never extinguished. \u00a0Sometimes it may glimmer<\/span> a little bit brighter, sometimes it may glimmer<\/span> a little bit dimmer, but it never goes out. \u00a0I felt like that was such a perfect description for all of us. \u00a0We all have a light on the inside and depending on the day, sometimes it\u2019s bright and sometimes it\u2019s dim. \u00a0That is the message I wanted girls<\/span> to get from this book. \u00a0You don\u2019t always have to be shining bright, some days are going to be more difficult than others, but Jesus has put a light in you that will never go out.\u201d<\/div>\n
