Are you looking for a new planner to plan all that wonderful curriculum that you bought either\u00a0at your local homeschool convention or somewhere else?\u00a0\u00a0The Hey Mama! Print Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017<\/a> from The Old Schoolhouse<\/a> is hot off the press and I had the opportunity to review it!<\/p>\n

\"Hey<\/a><\/p>\n

I received the print edition of The Hey Mama! Print\u00a0Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017\u00a0and the planner is based on the traditional school planners that begin in July and end the following June.\u00a0 As a momma of five I think this planner is great!\u00a0 It is hard to find a planner that can accommodate five children’s school schedule.<\/p>\n

There are 12 dated monthly calendars and lined\u00a0pages for every months to make notes.\u00a0 Every day has plenty of space to record field trips, appointments, etc.\u00a0 On the left side of the calendar there is space for additional notes.<\/p>\n

The planner has 36 blank weekly planning pages.\u00a0 I love that they are blank so I can set it up to fit our family!\u00a0 The downside\u00a0however is\u00a0that there are only 36 weekly planning pages.\u00a0 It is great for a family that follows the traditional school schedule of 36 weeks.\u00a0 For a family, like mine, that homeschools year round there are not enough weekly planning pages.\u00a0 I am still deciding on how to use the planning pages.\u00a0\u00a0I am leaning towards writing the days of the week across the top and the subjects down the side.\u00a0 There is enough space for me to record what the\u00a0three oldest have completed every day\u00a0together on each subject space.<\/p>\n

\"TOS<\/a><\/p>\n

There are five of each of the following pages; monthly goals, semester goals, yearly goals, attendance charts, book logs,\u00a0and curriculum planning sheets.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The goals on all of the goal pages are\u00a0for educational, spiritual, physical, personal talents, life skills, financial, and relational goals.\u00a0 There is plenty of space to write goals but if your monthly goals change frequently, there\u00a0may not be enough space for all of the changes depending on how many children you have.\u00a0 For\u00a0semester goals\u00a0you\u00a0may need to divide the blocks for first and second semester goals.\u00a0 The\u00a0attendance charts are for an 180 day school year.\u00a0 The book log includes spaces to record the title, author, and date completed.\u00a0 The curriculum planning pages\u00a0includes information to record the subject, grade level, curriculum name, price, vendor, and contact information.<\/p>\n

Following the above pages there is a homeschooling contact list page where you can write down the name, address, phone number, and email of other homeschooler.<\/p>\n

Other\u00a0pages\u00a0that The Old Schoolhouse included in the Hey Mama! Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017 are 36 General Writing Prompts, Story Starters, The Thirteen Colonies by Date, Timeline of Inventions, U.S. Presidents and Their Wives, Branches of Federal, State and Local Governments, United States and Capitals, Creating an Academic Transcript, one Academic Transcript page for high school, one Checklist and Skills Learned page, and one Other Courses page.<\/p>\n

For larger families, year\u00a0round homeschoolers, and\u00a0those who would like to customize their planner there is a digital edition of the Hey Mama! Schoolhouse Planner 2016-17<\/a> available as well.<\/p>\n

\"TOS<\/a><\/p>\n

One thing that I absolutely loved was that throughout the planner there are encouraging letters, Bible verses, and fun facts to read throughout the year.<\/p>\n
