{Review} Home School Adventure Co. ~ I'd Rather Be Your Mommy

Spending time reading books with my children before bed is a special bonding time for us. Every day, we try to read at least one book or one chapter from a book apart from reading done for school work. My family received a digital copies of I’d Rather Be Your Mommy, I’d Rather Be Your Mommy Coloring Book Edition and the I’d Rather Be Your Mommy Print Set by Home School Adventure Co. to review.

The book is offered in both a hardcover edition as well as a PDF edition. Author Stacy Farrell wrote a beautiful book about many different reasons why someone would rather be a mommy. Rather be a mommy than taking a trip to Mars or climbing a mountain. Savoring those special moments while the kids are still very young. The time will go by fast and before we know it our precious cargo will be grown up! It is an encouragement on those hard days and a reminder why I would rather be their mommy than do anything else. Like the book says, “If I could pick any job in the world, I would always pick being your mommy.” Words that will always be true!

I read the book from my computer with the kids standing around the computer and I. We are usually a physical book family so it was a bit different than being able to snuggle up together while reading a book. The kids tried to snuggle up as best as they could. The pictures in the book were edited to be a cartoon like which I liked. Train Buff kept asking me to read the book over and over. Every time when we finish the book Peanut will sign I Love You. Munchkin kept trying to snuggle up as close as possible. Peanut and Sweet Pea loved the pictures in the book as well as having a coloring book to color.

While reading this sweet book to your children, they can color in the Coloring Book Edition. The coloring book is a black and white copy of the book and is available in PDF format only. At the end of the coloring book there is a one page guide that children can refer to when coloring the coloring book. I printed out the coloring book for all five of the kids. With the digital coloring book you can print the pages and bind themThey will be able to keep a copy of this book, colored by them, for many years to come.

The I’d Rather Be Your Mommy Print Set are three pages from the book. I gave each child a choice of which print they wanted to hang on the wall in their bedroom. We have toner on order and as soon as the toner arrives I will be printing and laminating the prints to hang on their walls. Sweet Pea & Munchkin chose Children are a Gift from the Lord print. Peanut chose the I would rather be your mommy than dive in the ocean print. Lil Bit & Train Buff chose the I would rather be your mommy than fly a hot air balloon print.
